STATEMENT OF FAITH
Our declaration of what we believe according to (God’s word) the Holy Bible.
The Bible is the inspired and inerrant word of God. It presents the standard by which we live.
Ps 119:160, 2 Tim 3:16, Matt 4:4, 5:18, 24:35, John 17:17, Heb 4:12.
The eternal Godhead, who has revealed Himself in three persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit; distinguishable but indivisible.
Col 2:9, Matt 28:19, 2 Cor 13:14.
The deity of Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father and His bodily coming again the second time for His church.
John 1:1-5&9-14, Luke 1:26-35, Is 7:14, 9:6, Rom 14:9, 1 Cor 15:4-6&12-19, Rom 4:25, John 14: 2-3, 1 Thes 4:13-18.
Salvation is by grace through faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ and the perfect, sufficient work of the cross at Calvary by which we obtain remission of sin. Mankind is separated from God because of sin. Gods plan to reconcile man to Himself is left in the hands of man, who of free will must repent of sin and choose to receive new life in Christ Jesus and Him alone.
John 3:3-6&16-18, 14:6, Rom 8, 1 John 5:11-14, Eph 2:8-10, Heb 9, Rom 5:12, John 10, John 1:12.
A literal Heaven and a literal Hell. Eternal life for the follower of Christ and eternal punishment for the unbeliever.
Heaven-(Matt 3:2, 5:3, 10:32, Luke 10:20, 14:2, 2 Cor 5:1, Rev 3:5 Hell-(Mark 9:42-48, Luke 16:19-31, 2 Thes 1:8-9, Rev 20:10-15)
Water baptism into Christ Jesus by immersion in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This does not produce salvation but is an act of obedience and a public profession of faith in Christ.
Matt 3:11, 28:19-20, Acts 1:5, 2:34-38
Taking of communion for believers as a remembrance of the suffering of Jesus Christ as well as His covenant with all who receive His gift of Salvation. This act does not produce salvation, but is evidence to a life of relationship and obedience to Christ.
Matt 26:26-29, Luke 22:15-20, 1 Cor 11:17-32
In the present-day, expression of gifts of the spirit as manifested in the early church. Separation from the world and walking in healthy fear of God as an expression of Christian faith.
Acts 2:4, 2:38-39, 6:1-10, 8:14-17, Gal 5:22-26, Eph 4:11-16, 5:15-18, 1 Cor 12, 13&14, 2 Cor 6:14, 7:1, 1 Tim 3, 4:7, Titus 1, James 5:14-16.
God has chosen each believer to fulfill the destiny and purpose that He has planed for them. He has placed us in this time frame of eternity as well as placed us geographically so that we would come to know Him and fulfill His purpose in us. His purpose is that we have Godly character in our personal lives and that we direct others to Him. Every circumstance that we will face is not an accident or mistake, but things that God will use to equip us to witness to the world of His love. However, God has allowed us to have a free will of our own and will not force us to love Him. He offers us salvation through Jesus and desires that we all receive His gift of eternal life. Christian growth is not just knowing about Him but, knowing Him in an ongoing intimate relationship with God the Father through Jesus Christ and leading others to that relationship.
Acts 17:26-27, John 15:1-17, Rom 8:28, John 1:10-12, 2 Peter 3:9, Matt 28:19-20
